Hot Hair At Cannes 2012: Diane Kruger, Freida Pinto & Beth Ditto Work The Ponytail

GALLERY>> Cannes' Best Ponytails...

It’s Cannes o’ clock here at Grazia Beauty and today we’ve got our eye on all things hair. After seeing lots of [a href="/beauty/archive/2012/05/17/cannes-2012--our-favourite-beauty-looks-so-far.htm">gorgeous beauty looks [/a](our top look is still Diane Kruger's chic chignon), we’ve noticed a trend emerging in the form of the ponytail.

Yep, the usual Cannes shenanigans has seen an endless parade of the same old top knots but this round, the Hollywood glitterati are branching out in the beauty stakes by joining the pony club.

Isn't it refreshing to see something a little different? We say yes. So scroll through our gallery to take inspiration from the likes of Frieda Pinto and Beth Ditto who've been rocking the oh-so-youthful trend. And, of course, please let us know whether you rate or hate...

Frieda Pinto

First up is gorgeous Frieda Pinto who rocked the ponytail trend with her slightly dishevelled 'do whilst out and about at the Film Festival. We love the stray strands of hair around her face and think she should rock this a bit more often as it's suits her to the ground.

Diane Kruger

Next up is Grazia favourite Diane Kruger who turned up at[a href="/fashion/archive/2012/05/18/diane-kruger--jessica-chastain-and-lara-stone-at-calvin-kleins-women-in-film-can.htm"> the Calvin Klein party[/a] with a picture perfect pony. What we loved most about Diane's look was that she was done up to the nines with her coral pink Calvin Klein dress and cleverly off-set the look with her casual blonde pony. Top marks for you girl!

Beth Ditto

Quirky Beth Ditto ruled the red carpet with her wife-to-be in tow and of course a very on-trend ponytail too. Beth went for a pulled back high style for the evening and really nailed the look. We're beyond jel of those silky jet black locks...

Marion Cotillard

French actress Marion Cotillard went for a classic half pony for her Cannes 2012 debut and doesn't it look might fine? Rather K-Middy-esque, it's a look that suits most people and looks very neat but also much less formal than a full on up 'do.
