You beady-eyed beauties will have already spotted the ‘Small Fringe, Big Decision’ feature in this week’s issue of Grazia so it'll come as no surprise to hear that we're rather obsessed with the style.
Granted, it’s a tricky one to pull off but when it’s done right, it really works. We already knew the trend was on the rise after seeing micro fringes popping up all over the Autumn Winter 2012 catwalks from Versace to Nicole Farhi and now it's swept celebsville too. Everyone from Taylor Swift to Rooney Mara and even Queen of Kook, Lady Gaga, have been working the 'hair visor'. Then the short blunt fringe hit the Chanel Resort catwalk and the deal was sealed.
Originally more of an East London quirky trend, the micro fringe look is not your average everyday hair 'do, but with summer looming and a parade of fancy festivals on offer, this is a fuss-free beauty update. Just be sure to take a photo of exactly what you want when you pop to the hairdresser’s – you don't want to get this trend wrong and end up with nothing but brittle sprouts.
