Fragrance Pick: Kate Middleton's Royal Wedding Scent, Illuminum's White Gardenia Petals

So it’s hats off to Kate Middleton and Prince William who celebrate their fast approaching one year anniversary this Sunday. Ah, we’re feeling a tad nostalgic about that momentous day - what a memory.

Now whilst Princess Catherine likes to keep things top secret (there’s still lots of conspiracy over whether she actually did her own Royal Wedding makeup), we have it on good authority that her wedding fragrance was in fact Illuminum’s White Gardenia Petals EDP, from £70, a Grazia favourite! The brand itself is British, of course, and heralds a new era of minimal and exquisitely crafted fragrances. Using the finest essences and extracts that draw inspiration from everything from history to geography and flora and fauna, the scents are the epitome of chic simplicity. What we love most is that they contain just 8 ingredients (nothing too fussy or headache-making with this lot) and focus on the unique smells to deliver one gorgeous and stylish waft of loveliness to the wearer.

In fact, White Gardenia Petals is one of the more delicate and refined scents of the range – it’s top note of lily scream out summertime whilst the ylang ylang and lily of the valley are feminine and Princess-like. How fitting. Oh and not forgetting the amber wood and gardenia too. It’s dreamy gals, and just what we can imagine the Duchess of Cambridge wearing down the aisle.
