Rihanna's 'Naval Blue Tan'

Did you see Rihanna rocking the red carpet in an Emilio Pucci pajama suit at the premiere for her new film 'Battleship' in Tokyo last night? Reactions to her outfit were divided here at Grazia HQ, but here in the beauty department, every one of us was mesmerised by her new and swoonsome beauty style.

This morning, our sources at St Tropez let us in on Rihanna’s skin secret.  Make-up artist Karin Darnell, who beautified the songstress for last night's event, coined the tan finish ‘The Naval Blue Tan’. Why? Because it was influenced by the water theme in the film - it is about a battleship, after all (we think).

So along with the usual faux tan base (Karin recommends a mousse), the tan pro used a ‘penny-sized’ drop of St Tropez Violet Illuminator along Rihanna's décolletage to give her an aquatic-like blue hue. Then she used the St Tropez Shimmer Stick on Ri-Ri's cheeks for an all-over bronzed and dewy glow.  Simple, eh?

And one more thing: we’ve never seen ANYONE change their hair colour as much - and as quickly! - as RiRi. How did she go from blonde bombshell to black avec undercut so seamlessly?  Hats off to her hair stylist we say.
