GALLERY >> Bronze Goddesses at Michael Kors

Can you believe British summer time officially starts in just ten days time? Yep, Sunday the 25th is the big day and we're super excited at the thought of all things summery – we're talking endless ice creams, Pimms in the park, pastel-coloured tees with flippy skirts and bare legs. Bliss. So in anticipation of the sunshine, we've rounded-up our favourite Spring Summer 2012 beauty trends that'll ensure you're the hottest girl on the block. Have a scroll through the gallery above — and enjoy!

The tan returns! Thank goodness as we were beginning to look just the wrong shade of pale, if you know what we mean. A golden glow is all you need to swing into Summer – take inspiration from the Michael Kors show where girls looked sunkissed and radiant. Don't be shy with your bronzer, sweep it across the brown, chin, apples of the cheeks and eyelids.

Just-Bitten Lips at Giles

Whilst Winter is the time for a more powerful, punchy lip, we always think Summer is when you can work a subtle, sheer shade without looking too done. The type of lip you'd sport as you dive into the sea or walk along the beach. The models at Giles had that just-bitten pink lip which looks almost transparent and isn’t too precise. Just our kind of thing and one you'll be wanting to wear just about now.

Festival Hair at DSquared

We’re always fond of a dash of colour interspersed with some expensive highlights, and this Summer - just in time for our festival escapades - we’ll be giving the DSquared look a go. Choose a bright pink or orange and work in a long a chunk of hair that will hang subtly amongst your natural colour. Peter Som is another inspiring show for this too.

Metallic Smoky Eyes at Philip Lim

The smoky eye has made a comeback this Summer, but this time with a more 60’s metallic edge to it. Models at Rodarte worked a black shimmery version while girls at Philip Lim had a more subtle, silver eye. Whichever one you go for, be sure to layer it on both the eyelid and lower lashes for maximum impact.

All About Skin at Stella McCartney

One of our fave beauty trends to emerge for Summer was seen at Stella McCartney on none other than model-of-the-moment Arizona Muse. It’s a little trickier than it looks but essentially you need to arm yourself with a great tinted moisturiser and primer, or - if you really want to do it right - a BB cream. Then it’s just one coat of brown mascara and you’re good to go.

Beachside Bounce at Versace

We love nothing more than gorgeous beachside hair – t’would be a beauty crime to be caught at Club 55 or the Blue Marlin without some serious volume and killer bounce going on. Look no further than the Versace show where Donatella-esque girls had bounce by the bucket-loads. The key to this is a good, bouncy blow-dry (we recommend turning your head upside-down to dry it at home) and a hair serum, any high street one will do.

The Mini Pony at Peter Pilotto

Whilst the classic ponytail will always be a winner, this Summer it’s all about the half ponytail, or ‘mini-pony’ as we like to call it. Quite literally a half-up-half-down job, it is flattering and fun and looks divine on both blondes and brunettes. We loved Peter Pilotto’s models best of all - they all looked cool enough to take on Coachella. Ride that pony girls!

Peachy Pastels at Louis Vuitton

Pastels are everywhere this season, from clothes to nails to makeup and we love it. Our top pastel moment is, of course, the Louis Vuitton show, where girls looked candy cute thanks to their peach cheeks and dusty pink blusher. Be warned though, apply sparingly to avoid the 10 year-old girl look.

Nailing It at Topshop Unique

Summer nails are all about colour, which is a joy for Grazia Team Beauty who are all nail polish junkies at heart. Yes, we even have our very own nail polish display by our desks! But our fave nail moment this season was backstage at the Topshop Unique show where girls had a different colour on every nail. Hurray! We’ve been waiting for this moment to come into fashion for a while now.

Stuck in the Middle at Carolina Herrera

You’ll be pleased to hear that the parting for this season is bang in the middle of the head. Nice and easy to wear, just look at any of the Carolina Hererra models for an idea on how to get this right. Whether you work your middle-parting with a low pony, a messy bun or just with your hair down, make sure it’s completely straight and as neat as you can make it in the hair line.
