The idea of returning to your more youthful, natural beauty has been a hot topic of debate on the beauty desk recently. So we’re super pleased to see Lindsay Lohan has taken the plunge and dyed her hair back to its original strawberry red.
Gone are her Playboy platinum blonde tresses and in their place is the natural red hue that first made her a child star. Is this the actress' way of reminding us of her childhood success? Lest we forget LiLo playing an adorable pair of twins in The Parent Trap and later as the girl next door in cult chick flick Mean Girls. Her good girl image was a far cry from the scandals that have followed her since, but can she shake off her jailbird persona with a new 'do?
What's more, the 25-year-old's blonde extensions teamed with an orangey tan drew comparisons to Donatella Versace who, despite being a fabulous designer, is 30 years her senior. And just last week, Debbie Harry was mistaken for the young star - and she's, err, 66. Yikes.
With other ravishing red heads on the scene - from the gorgeous Emma Stone and Jessica Chastain to the oh-so-cool Florence Welch - now is the perfect time for Lindsay to return to her scarlet starlet days. And with a complexion tailored for a fiery red head, we can only commend LiLo for turning back the clock and embracing the colour she was born with.
For years we’ve dyed, threaded, sculpted, and spritzed our way away from our childhood looks but now, it seems that going back to your youth is the latest (and easiest) way to look younger. Several of the Grazia girls have skipped on the hair dye in recent months, leaving their natural roots to grow out, and many are sporting the fringes they first wore at school. Taking a step back into your beauty past reminds the world of your innocent childhood looks and is also the most flattering style because, quite simply, you were made that way!
But what do you make of Lindsay going back to her red roots? Let us know below...
