Now Markus Lupfer Creates Makeup Magic With Shu Uemura

02 February 2012 by

Only last week we caught up with Markus Lupfer to chat about dressing the divine Olivia Palermo and his amazing animal IT knits. Then we discovered that Madonna herself has chosen not one but three versions of his 12 Star Intarsia Jumper [above] for the artwork cover of her new single 'give me all you lovin.' As if that wasn’t enough excitement, reports this morning suggest that uber-cool Japanese brand Shu Uemura have announced a sparkling new and extremely limited-edition collaboration with the designer too. Ooh!

The 3-part fashion-meets-make-up bonanza is set to comprise of three different empty palettes adorned with pink, blue and mint versions of the amazing inky leopard print seen in Lupfer’s Spring Summer 2012 Everything Under the Sun collection.  All you lucky customers have to do is fill them to bursting any which way you like. The palettes hold either 4 of Shu’s vast collection of pressed eye shadows or 2 of their equally enormous collection of glow on blushers.  Pretty cool right?

Speaking of the announcement Markus says, “It’s a dream come true for me to collaborate with Shu Uemura, I LOVE the colours and textures that they have to offer, and feel that both our brands have such a similar spirit.” We couldn’t agree more.

The limited edition collection will be priced at £10 (not including the individual shadows) and will be available exclusively at Selfridges W1 London, Selfridges Trafford, Shu Uemura Boutique London and online at  from February 2012.

We’ll race you to the checkout!
