Brazilian Beauty With John Frieda’s Full Repair Range

Team Grazia Beauty are one lady down this week.  Don't panic though, I’ve just hopped off on a South America adventure in Rio De Janeiro to discover the latest launches from John Frieda. Being generous people, we wanted to let you in on our Brazilian experience.

So on Tuesday night, I packed half my bathroom (each bag represents an area of the face or beauty regime) and swapped my shearling for a pair of shorts. The reason I’m here is to see what the clever folk in the labs at JF have discovered: a Brazilian secret ingredient called Inca Inchi oil.

It’s used in their new range 'Full Repair' and has been hailed by hair hero Kerry Warn as the most revolutionary launch he's used since the launch of hair serum. And ladies, there's no denying how much serum has changed the way we style our hair!

Kerry should know because he's been road-testing the new range on the set of Leonardo DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan's film ‘The Great Gatsby’ in Australia, where the blazing sun can cause all sorts of hair damage. That's testament enough for us!

Meanwhile, in the land of home hair colour, dyeing your hair at home is about to get a whole lot more advanced and exciting with the introduction of what John Frieda are calling 'bespoke colour'.  Think salon, tailor-made shades but out of a box.  Inspired by the way professional hair colourists blend colour in the salon to create the shade you want, Precision Foam Colour is about to gain five new 'salon blends', created using a special set of three hues (pearl, copper and gold) that make up five exclusive salon like shades.  This is just the beginning and let us tell you this: at home hair colour never looked so good!

Aside from all this tough work, we’ve been on a helicopter ride to see the famous Christ the Redeemer looming over Rio, as well as Sugarloaf mountain. Plus, we visited Brazil's No1 Plastic Surgeon, Carlos Fernando Gomes de Almeida (no, I didn’t get a nip or a tuck) and tomorrow, we’ll be taking a trip to Petropolis to lend our hands to young girls living in the village.

Yep, it's a packed schedule, but someone's got to do it…
