We currently seem to be stuck in an oversized and uncomfortable rut somewhere between winter and spring in terms of make-up trends, are still waiting for the post-Christmas exercise routine to start and to top it all off appear to be constantly berating the hideous weather outside. Cue much humphing/sighing/moaning etc.
Much in need of a beauty-shaped pick-me-up, we’ve decided that Dolce & Gabbana’s new Intense Khol Eye Crayons collection might be exactly what the doctor ordered.
Inspired by the fancy-sounding theme of “aristocratic wildness”, these velvety-soft pencils glide on even better than any liquid eyeliner out there at the moment, allowing you to flick, wing and smudge to your heart’s content.
Oh, and did we mention the colours? Oh…..the colours. Ranging from the rich carbon True Black to the sparkling Peacock, crisp, snowy True White and deliciously rich Chocolate, there’s an extremely good chance that you’ll want to mix it up by bagging the whole blooming lot because they’re just so erm, eye wateringly marvellous.
Still needing some inspiration? We recommend looking to the spring/summer 2012 shows for a veritably eye-opening and hugely inspiring display of flicks, smudges and sweeps in muted neons, punchy pastels and irresistible metallics that will have you playing in front of your mirror for hours.
The pleasure’s all ours!
