There’s no denying that in spite of all the negative debate surrounding the apparently inevitable public transport disasters set to occur throughout the London 2012 Olympics, we’re certainly beginning to feel an inkling of excitement about the grand event. The fact that public transport failures will force us onto our bikes and into our walking boots to get to work (hopefully inducing pert bottoms and toned thighs etc.) aside, a recent train journey past the Olympic village and that outrageously fab firework display on New Year’s Eve really filled us with enthusiasm for the July start. If only we’d been more organized and got ourselves some tickets…
News just in this morning reveals the first few pairings of British Olympians to beauty brands as swimmer Keri-anne Payne is signed as the face of Max Factor’s award winning False Lash Effect Gold Mascara and track cyclist Victoria Pendleton is signed to Pantene Pro-V’s Smooth & Sleek range.
23 year old Keri-anne was actually the first GB athlete to qualify for the London 2012 games and was chosen by Max Factor for her exemplary dedication, hard work and confidence. A self-confessed beauty addict, Keri-anne says: 'I’m so excited to be working with Max Factor. When I’m not training, I love experimenting with make-up and creating different looks. I’m a long-time fan of False Lash Effect and I love this new gold pack edition, that celebrates it’s the most award winning mascara from Max Factor.'
Champion cyclist Victoria meanwhile has said “I am absolutely thrilled to be working with Pantene Pro-V, I have used their products for years. Training outside everyday means the elements can play havoc with my hair, however the Smooth & Sleek range helps fight frizz and keeps my hair looking and feeling the healthiest it’s been.”
We’d put money on a fair few more beauty and sport liaisons arising in the next few months. Are there any that you would like to see?
