Adele, Lady Gaga, Cheryl Cole Join the Beehive Bandwagon!

Ah, Adele. Has she been on your mind too? We've been wondering when she'll be back to belting out her brilliant ballads after undergoing throat surgery. Every one of our fingers are crossed that she'll be better soon and news of a whooping six Grammy nominations must have perked her up no end.

Judging by her Twitter feed, it sure looks like the singer is on the mend. Yesterday, Adele tweeted this photo of herself looking slimmer post-surgery and sporting possibly the most wondrous beehive we have ever laid eyes on. Look at that volume, the sweepy side fringe and the cat-winged eyeliner! She really looks magnificent. Along with the photo, she wrote: 'Back on the grind. Hair and make-up did. Merry Christmas! A xx'. Could Adele be the new Beehive Queen, we wonder?

One thing's for sure, there are a pack of starlets ready to give the Brit beauty a run for her beehive money. In October, we spotted Lady Gaga working a similarly chic 'do while out and about in London, with pistachio green streaks running through her blonde tresses, to match her err, greeny blusher. Ahem.

And who could forget when Cheryl Cole nailed the tricky trend to launch her shoe range for Stylistpick? Chezza’s was positively towering and styled with a tight headband to frame her face - and no doubt keep that 'hive up high. Marge Simpson, who?

The retro trend also works brilliantly with the '60s style that is still hugely popular around these parts. Cult TV series 'Pan Am' is on our telly screens and Ashley Green has been seen on set showcasing an ultra-neat and hair-sprayed bouffant that is the perfect accompaniment to her string of pearls and dainty gloves.

So whether you go for high, bedhead-y or perfectly prim, it's time to join the beehive bandwagon pronto!

HedRock Hair (Wed Dec 28 05:07:24 GMT 2011): Not to mention Agyness Deyn's editorial in the current issue of Vogue, which was brimming with 60's flair. In addition to all the colourful print that's going to hit the streets in the coming Spring, I smell a comeback. :)
