The divine Gwen Stefani has simply got to be credited with producing some of the most divine and creative hairstyles in the whole of Hollywood. If fact, we’d go as far as to say that we don’t know anyone else who knows how to modernise old-school Hollywood glamour quite like Ms Stefani.
Take, for example, the do she wore at last week’s 'In the Land of Blood' premiere in LA. It's a classic French twist at the back but erm, topped off with an uber-cool off-to-one-side bun at the front. Talk about high fashion! Oh and don’t even get us started on the genius raspberry matte lipstick that Gwen has chosen as an alternative take on the classic and more traditional red. This lady is a beauty GENIUS.
While we’ve been wondering exactly how we might work the trend into our daily beauty routine, it appears that we’ve been beaten to it by more red carpet lovelies from Fergie to Julianne Hough and Amber Heard who were spotted working luxurious Veronica Lake-style waves and matte red mouths last week.
So you know what? Retro glamour is set to be huge news for Spring / Summer 2012 with Jason Wu, Christian Dior and John Paul Gaultier [above] producing their individual takes on the set waves and red lip combo.
