So it’s practically December, it’s starting to get dark around 3pm and chunky knits have become our wardrobe staples. (Translate as the only thing we wear right now.) With this in mind, a speedy trip to the beauty cupboard this morning revealed a welcome pop of colour that made us forget dark hues and the dismal weather outside. While a flick of eyeliner is a no brainer for us minimal-make-up-types here on the Grazia beauty desk, there are times when we need a little something extra. Today the solution came in the form of Paul & Joe’s cute and perfectly packaged Adrift Eyeshadow, £14.
Perfectly translating the neat, fun, flirtiness seen on the catwalks, the lovely floral packaging proved irresistible. Plus it is the perfect size for our new Hermes Constance. And then there were the pigments: Reminiscent of the Marni AW’11 catwalk, in which bright eyes in pinks made a statement, this shadow combines swirled pinks, purples and browns with some slight shimmer thrown in for good measure. The colours are expertly mixed so you don’t have to, one stroke of the brush will give you the perfect shade combination, tone and coverage. Use a light layer to add a twinkle to your eyes or layer up for a bolder look.
