So you maaay have heard that a certain Kim Kardashian has filed for divorce from Kris Humphries, her husband of 72 days. As we struggle to come to terms with the sad, sad news, our thoughts have turned to how Kimmy K's look will evolve post-wedlock...

Kim Kardashian's more understated look compared to her usual glammed-up fare
Our first indication came yesterday when the reality TV star arrived for the launch of her handbag line in Sydney, Australia. Instead of wearing one of her signature flesh-flashing bandage dresses, her famous curves were covered up with a demure high-neck, knee-length frock under a roomy black cape. Gone was the mega-watt Hollywood smile and in its place was a solemn, paired-down pout. And rather than lashings of fake tan, buckets of black eyeliner, rows of lashes and a painted lip, her make-up was – quelle horreur! – almost NATURAL.

Kim Kardashian arrives at the Kardashian Kollection Handbag launch yesterday
Note the subtle sheen on her lips – a stark contrast to the bright red lippie we’ve seen her working in the past. As for Kim's manicure, it was similarly pale and understated while her long locks were not piled into a glamorous bun but divided into a simple centre parting. Yep, we hear the message loud and clear: Kim is mourning for her marriage.

Nude lipgloss at Antonio Berardi, Ralph Lauren and Louis Vuitton
So can we expect to see a more low-key, less fussy KK now that she’s in splitsville? Here's hoping! The Spring / Summer 2012 catwalks were jam packed with neutral, natural beauties enhanced by nothing more than a slick of silvery lipgloss. Take the Antonio Berardi, Ralph Lauren and Louis Vuitton shows for example where the girls were glowing and glossy not thanks to layers of make-up but courtesy of flawless skin and a shiney lip. Yep, forget high-maintenance and start thinking simple, simple, simple!

Kim Kardashian makes the most of her bling ring
Simples. One thing’s for sure, the absence of Kim’s ginormous engagement ring will aid her more minimalist look. Before the surprise split, Kim was a pro at blinding us with her bling, setting off the Lorraine Schwartz sparkler (worth a measly $2million) with equally flashy accessories. In fact, a debate has been raging on Grazia_UK’s Facebook page about whether Ms Kardashian should return the 20.5 carat emerald cut diamond. Larraine Palmer-Higgins says Kim has every right to keep it – ‘a present is a present however large or small’ while Danielle Green argues, ‘Definitely give it back, I've been to parties that lasted longer than her marriage so she can't claim she wants it for sentimental reasons!’ Many of you reckon Kim should donate the rock to charity or maybe she should make like Charlotte in 'Sex and the City' and consider having it transformed into earrings or a necklace.
