Everyone went mad for those Sixties Twiggy-esque spidery peepers that have been popping up backstage at the shows; everywhere from Lanvin to Valentino to Gucci and Paul & Joe. So when we spotted Anna Friel's Jean-Shrimpton-doppelganger look last night, while dining at the Ivy with Rhys Ifans, we were seriously smitten. The dress was lovely, the shoes were seriously sexy and those fabulous spider lashes would have made a make up artist proud (we're guessing she'd spent the day being shot for a magazine, hmm?)
Want to work a spider lash yourself? The secret lies in an initial and very precise application of mascara to coat the lashes and to make sure that none of the individual hairs stick together. When the first coat is dry back brush the lashes with mascara to build up layers. If you’re in the mood, add a sheer dusting of a subtle, pastel toned shadow to the lid for a super cool nod to the 60s.
We love! Check out the video below to get yourself in the mood.
