Liberty and Hello Kitty!

Liberty has got to be right up there in our top 5 department stores ever. In recent months we’ve been particularly blown away by the addition of Margaret Dabb Sole Spa on their lower ground floor and their amazing new beauty hall that makes the store an absolute must for all self-respecting beauty aficionados.

Now we’ve just heard that the brands’ famous print room have teamed up with Hello Kitty to showcase the most fabulous collaboration that we’ve seen for a while.  Yes that’s right, those clever designers have incorporated the little kitty cat into some of their most classic archive prints, creating a veritable bevy of cosmetics and toiletries that we’ll be snapping us with immediate effect. Word on the street is that the first range will be available to buy from September with new prints released each year. Ooh it’s irresistible.

Our personal faves have to be Kakurenbo, top, based on a floral design first created in 1933 and Musical Festival, directly above, derived from a design called Kuovi which was produced in 1978, (well we used to play the cello didn’t we?) On our shopping list? The uber-cute cosmetics pouch containing mini mascara, lip gloss and eye shadow and the hand wash and crème sets too.

The Hello Kitty – Liberty Art Fabrics luxury product range will be launching exclusively for two weeks at Liberty from 26th September 2011.
