Whether you wanna be part of the fat plait parade as seen at Pucci and Kenzo's A/W'11 shows or you're looking to whip your hair back and forth with a glossy ponytail, long locks are (still) in. So it's time to giddy up and get your mane down to Topshop on Oxford Street where you'll find Hersheson's Pony Club blow-dry bar, that looks a little something like this:
Ever considerate, Grazia Daily has obligingly trialed the equestrian trend to put to rest the question that's been keeping our dear readers up at night. That is to say, can a girl with shoulder-length hair be transformed with the addition of one phony pony?
So this is why Grazia Daily was in the bizarre position of picking out hair wear yesterday afternoon. After the best match had been carefully selected (they call it beachy blonde since you ask), my real hair was parted to create a small section at the base of the neck, slightly to the left for a flattering side sweep. Then the section was back-combed for fullness and thickness before being wrapped into a bun.
The top of the faux pony is best described as an elasticised hairnet that sits comfortably over the bun, secured by grips. Jenna, the lovely lady tending to my locks, recommended a spritz of dry shampoo for a less shiny, synthetic-y result. It's all about messy tresses, darlings. Finally, all that's needed is lashings of hairspray and a tad more teasing at the crown, et voila! Super quick, super easy and hot to trot. My Little Pony, eat yer heart out.
