This morning, we hot footed it down to The Covent Garden Hotel to catch up with Lauren Goodger, star of (need we say it?) The Only Way is Essex. Considering that all four members of Grazia Team Beauty are mega-fans of the show (one particular individual can recite the whole of Series One word for word - no, seriously), you can imagine the excitement levels. Even more so when we realised she would be accompanied by her 9-week-old Chihuahua puppy, Wrighty. Enough said.
Once we had finished cooing over the cute doggy, Lauren filled us in on her new tanning range aptly named Lauren’s Way. So far, the range includes a self-tanning bronzing mousse and dark tanning lotion and is set to expand, with Lauren also having other beauty plans in the pipeline.
Extremely proud of the products which she has funded and branded herself, the glossy lady hopes that the range will encourage young girls to move away from using dangerous sunbeds (hear, hear!) while her overall aim was to produce a natural looking healthy glow without the smell often associated with other brands. We can’t wait to give it a go…
Oh and get a load of the sound bites below:
“I havent tried the products on Mark yet but I’m definitely going to pin him down. I think guys often think that there aren’t many ways to better their looks but fake tan is a great solution for them.”
On her little sisters:
"My little sisters came downstairs the other day wearing fakes lashes and covered in makeup and I showed them that they looked better without it. Young girls shouldn’t hide their faces and should look natural."
On The Only Way is Essex:
“My whole life has changed but ultimately I don’t feel different, I’m the same girl as I was before. I just want to be successful and I love making people feel confident and good which is why I wanted to create my tan range. They are beauty products but I’m not telling people to wear loads of fake tan and makeup, it’s just about having fun."
On her makeup bag:
“My make-up must haves? Definitely my tangle teaser, MAC studio Fix Foundation and my Clarins baby pink lipstick, it’s so moisturising. My statement scent is Victor and Rolf flower bomb.
On Wrighty the dog:
“I came back from being away in Vegas and Portugal and I was so depressed so I knew it was time to get a dog. Mark went mad when he came home but now he’s in love – apart from the weeing on his brand new carpet…”
