Liz’s Chanel-ified beauty bureau
I’m not a signature scent kind of girl; I get easily distracted from my current bottle by the latest and greatest one to land on my desk. (Lucky me!) This summer though I have been determined to cultivate a chic fragrance wardrobe (as part of an operation to de–clutter my life!) and here it is; courtesy of Chanel. Now, I’ve got it down to three ‘go anywhere’ fragrances; Beige, Sycamore and their latest classic No 19 Poudre. The first can only be described as cashmere in a bottle. I literally feel like a million dollars when I wear this but in a chic, understated type of way. It’s perfect for more relaxed days and when I’m feeling ultra-feminine . Sycamore is my power perfume, ideal for early morning meetings and when I need to edge up an outfit a little, it keeps me feeling fresh even on my daily summer tube rides! No 19 Poudre is a new version of the classic No 19 – laced with pretty Iris this is very easy to wear and is just the right combination of fresh and floral – the one I’d take away on my travels.
