You may have heard by now that the Isle of Wight skies turned this weekend’s festival into a rainy stupor but that did not mean Grazia Daily's spirits were dampened, oh no! In fact, to alleviate some of the soak, we camped out in the M.A.C tent where makeup maestros were on hand to transform us from soggy, hungover gals into glittery, bright glamazons. Hurrah! Yes, our wellies may well have been caked in mud and our hair was in need of a good scrub but our faces were party-ready. Here’s how the transformation took place…
This is me on Sunday morning looking barefaced and rather bedraggled after too much Kings of Leon-induced fun the night before. Get that bag of beauty tricks to work, pronto!
Step one is buckets of concealor - yay! - and a coating of pink neon on my lids. Sarah Louise, the lovely make-up artist, used M.A.C's Pro Magenta Madness Pigment for a totes on-trend tone.
Next out of the bag is a ginormous tub of glitter (Pro Glitter in Crystallised Yellow, to be exact). ‘This will bring lots of fun to the evening shenanigans and the colour is a bold clash against the neon,’ Sarah Louise assures me. She frames my left eye with two pieces of tissue held at right angles then blows the glitter onto my face from a creased piece of paper. Hopefully the photo above illustrates this more aptly.
See! Do you like? Now time for a slick of Zoomlash Mascara...
After doing the same on my right eye, Sarah Louise blends the neon and glitter together, cleaning up any excess, before finishing the look with Fix +, an aqua-spritz of vitamin and minerals which adds radiance and ensures it lasts all night long.
AND transformation complete! It’s time to grab my glow sticks and hit the mud. Here's M.A.C's nifty face chart so you can recreate the look:
