Umm, did Sarah Jessica Parker miss our post yesterday? You'll remember we swore our everlasting and undying love for Cheryl Cole but mourned her Dallas-style choice of 'do for her first US X Factor appearance, but clearly SJP clearly thought otherwise. Yup, the actress was spotted at the Robin Hood Foundation annual benefit in New York last night working an almost identical version of Cheryl’s bouffant barnett. Oh dear. But hey, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery and one can hardly complain about getting the seal of approval from such a mega fashion icon, right Chez?
On a not altogether different, but much more pleasing note, we’re thrilled with the release of three ads that Chezza has just shot for L’Oreal to celebrate 50 years of the fabulous Elnett hairspray. In one snippet, our fave Geordie’s hair has been styled into a short but lofty, tousled bob and in another, we're treated to a screen siren-esque half-bouffant, and in the last, a rockabilly up-do that reminded us of the girls dressed as guys at the Dolce & Gabbana A/W show. All looks requiring veritable lashings of hairspray, of course.
So what are your thoughts on this emerging trend? Is big hair a confidence booster for women and a trend that might stick for summer 2011? And, more importantly, are you inclined to give it a go?
