After a hopelessly busy day in the office, one lucky team member hot-footed it to the Mandarin Spa in Knightsbridge to try out the new Aromatherapy Associates English Rose treatment. AA, which has always been a firm favourite within the team, has recently been taken on by the spa and we think it’s quite frankly a match made in spa-heaven. The spa itself has everything you would expect of uber luxe hotel – white fluffy robes a-plenty, fresh mint tea on every surface and incense burning left, right and centre.
The treatment was carried out by the lovely Jessica, a French therapist who has travelled the world with her work, including a stint offering pre-and post-opp TLC at a cosmetic surgeon’s clinic in Cannes (we obv couldn’t help but ask LOTS of questions about that part). Jessica began the treatment with a gentle foot cleanse, followed by a thorough but relaxing body massage, express facial and head massage using the famed AA Rose Range. Her technique was in short, unbeatable. Plus, it so happened to be the first time we’ve ever experienced a rose infused poultice to ease tension and stress all over the body. And as if that wasn’t enough, the moment the treatment was over pot of lemongrass tea appeared and we led slowly and sleepily into the best Relaxation Room ever, where fresh fruit and more tea was laid out, along with soft towelled beds for a few more Zzz’s before facing the world outside.
Be sure to book in.  Just don’t make plans for afterwards you’ll want to keep that Rose Oil on your face and hair for as long as possible.
