One member of Grazia Team Beauty trotted out of work a tad early on Friday (after finishing all of the work, obvs) and made our way East-bound to BLEACH for a pre-weekend dabble in the dip-dyeing trend. You will, of course, have already read all about the salon in the current issue of Grazia, but for those uninitated, this salon-with-a-difference is based at the fabulous WAH Nails in uber trendy Dalston and is the brainchild of colour-creatives Alex and Sam, who both cottoned on to the hair trend about 5 months ago and now have a massive East London cult following (polaroids of Alice Dellal and Pixie Geldof adorn the walls).
Faced with the choice of far too many exotic shades, a brief moment of indecision/panic gave way to clarity and the decision that hot pink would work best with the long blonde locks already in place. So, in just 15 minutes, a tub of pink dye was worked through the lengths and, TA-DA, out came some bright pink ends. It has left us feeling very summery, the boyfriend rather shocked and the niggling feeling that this dip-dyeing lark might be somewhat addictive. What colour next then, girls?
BLEACH @ WAH Nails, 420 Kingsland Road or Topshop Oxford Circus.
