Is it just us or has it taken a ridiculously long period of time for a beauty company to snap up the adorably pretty Emma Watson? Watson ceased to be the "face" of Brit superbrand Burberry waaay back in August last year, and since then she has just got cooler and cooler and prettier and prettier. The seminal moment of Watson's new status as modern style icon came with the debut of her supercute pixie cut soon after news of her replacement at Burberry broke last summer. And yet it has taken a whopping six months for a new power brand to sign the actress up. And that brand is none other than global beauty company Lancome.

Anyway, Watson is understandably thrilled, saying of the forthcoming campaign 'It’s so exciting, I can’t wait to start shooting'. The fresh-faced 20 year old admitted 'I don’t wear much make-up'. But she said she's a 'big fan' of Lancome products, 'especially their mascara' - which we suspect may be a not-so-subtle clue as to the product she may first be advertising. Watson will join fellow actress and most recent Lancome recruit Julia Roberts. Watson also revealed that the photographer for the Lancome campaign will be none other than Mario Testino, who shot Emma for all four of her Burberry campaigns.
