Kate Moss had a VERY good week last week. Not only did she finally get engaged to her rocker boyfriend of three years Jamie Hince, but it was also announced that she would be the new face of Dior Beauty.
The 37 year old supermodel is set to star in the latest ads for Dior's Addict lipstick range, appearing in a short film for the new Dior Beauté campaign called “Be Iconic.”
And naturally she made an appearance at a Dior party in Paris last week in a somewhat uncharacteristic outfit [above]. Moss style watchers will be aware that the Brit fashion icon rarely wears colour - she's pretty neutral in her fashion choices, other than the odd hit of red. But on Thursday night she wore a draped purple chiffon dress from the French luxury brand. Naturally, Mossy didn't fail to bring her own unique styling touch to the outfit - reappearing at the end of the night with the dress' hem ripped to shreds.
Rumours of her association with Dior Beauté first circulated in the blogosphere back in October when Miss Moss was photographed at the last Paris Fashion Week somewhat ostentatiously applying Dior Addict Lipstick in Charmed Pink No.578 (my, those younger bloggers have sharp eyes).
And we have to say, for the House of Dior, nabbing the supermodel in the year she is set to get married is very good timing indeed. Mind you, Dior Head Designer John Galliano and Moss have been BFF for two decades and were partying in London this weekend, so it's possible this is no coincidence, hmm?
Check out this teaser video for the campaign....(we're loving those black nails)
