Exciting news, girls and boys! A delicious afternoon treat has just arrived! You'll remember Grazia Daily's excitement last month when John Galliano officially announced Natalie Portman as the face of Miss Dior Cherie. Considering it's one of our best-loved fragrances from the French house, we highly approved of the choice and immediately started imagining the ad campaign shot by Tim Walker. We had no doubt that the photographer's romantic style would work brilliantly with Portman's gamine girliness, and we weren't wrong! Yep, Dior HQ has just released this tantalising image from the shoot and the results are as sumptuous as expected.
Oooh la la! Portman looks typically gwageous wearing nothing but a black hair bow and a slick of eyeliner. It's certainly a very youthful-yet-risque look for the recently engaged mummy-to-be whose tortured role in Black Swan has created a ton of Oscar buzz and got us all a-trembling.
'I had an aversion to selling things', the actress said of the partnership. 'And then I realised both that there could be a company that I would be proud to represent, and also that they would really support the things I believe in.' And when you're part of a superstar trio of Dior ladies including Charlize Theron (for J'Adore) and Sharon Stone (for skincare), it's no wonder it didn't take much persuasion.
So now we wait with baited breath to see La Portman starring in the advert Sofia Coppola directed, which is set to hit our telly boxes any day now.
