In the spirit of all things new, Grazia Daily suggests you see 2011 in with a beauty bang by working one of these S/S '11 trends at your New Years 'do tomorrow night. Go on, we dare you...
The Now Brow
Instantly update your look with a dark brow as seen at Christopher Kane, Dior (above) and Prada. It’s easy to do, bang on trend and looks fab with an up 'do if you’re that way inclined. Giorgio Armani, MAC, Shu Uemura and Bobbi Brown all do fab pencils to help you on your way to a fuller brow - just be sure to whip them into shape with some Tweezerman tweezers first. Stragglers just won’t do now.
The Bronze Blush
The 70’s were referenced at a bevvy of beauty backstage areas this S/S '11. Trust us, this trend is going to be MASSIVE. Think buffed, sculpted cheekbones in monochrome tones. As makeup expert Gordon Espinet says, 'It’s all about using one bronzer – definitely without sparkle.' The secret’s in the blending you know. Pair with lip balm, a smudge of copper on the eyelid, reference Balmain (above), Bluemarine and Barbara Bui, head to MAC, Dior and YSL for your bronzers, and you’re good to go. Trust us, you’ll be matte for them (ha!).
The Pop Classics
Brights are well and truly back for Spring so don’t be shy now. Think bold sweeps of saturated, painterly colour on the eyes, lips and cheeks. Take a queue from Louise Gray (above), Marni and Peter Som and you'll be the belle of the ball.
Here's to 2011 peeps!
