Ever since Emma Watson strutted out with her trendy new pixie crop, Team Beauty have been wondering whether it was a) a spontaneous decision, b) a rebellion against having to be Hermione for so long or c) a planned new look. We for one would certainly need to pluck up some courage to go for such a drastic chop (not a single member of Grazia Team beauty has ever gone shorter than shoulder-length). So when the Harry Potter hottie revealed that her hairspiration came from 60's stunner Mia Farrow, we had our answer: it'd been in the pipeline for some time.
'My mother has this haircut and this has been her signature look since she was, like, 16. I just always thought it was really cool and wanted to try it,' Emma told MTV News. 'When I went in to my hairdresser, I took in a picture of Mia Farrow and was like, 'I want to look like this.''
We can't deny that Grazia HQ was pretty shocked when those long auburn locks of hers vanished, and the 20 year old actress confesses she's been surprised at the response, too: 'I can't believe how much of a stir this haircut caused,' she said. 'It's pretty nuts.' Nuts it may be, but we sense that the edgier crop signifies a whole new chapter for this doe-eyed beauty...
