Ever since we spotted that the General Trading Company in Sloane Square was shutting down a few months ago (it's on our way home you see), we have been eagerly awaiting to see what would pop up in its place, and whether it will be able to fill the the gap of what was a Team Beauty favourite. Well it's good news girls! We've just heard that fragrance favourite Ormonde Jayne will be taking over this eponymous spot with its flagship London store, the third, newest and largest address for the brand.
Linda Pilkington, creator and owner, is as excited as we are about the store opening. "Sloane Square is an international address in the heart and soul of London", she told us, "When I first saw the 'to lease' sign I knew it would be the perfect location." With a smoked glass interior and antique gold shagreen walls, the shop will embody the sophisticated and decadent look of the brand. Even more exciting is the Perfume Portrait Service that will be on offer, an innovative way to find your perfect scent and have the chance to behave like a real perfumer, smelling and selecting raw ingredients to make your perfect bespoke perfume. We love!
So Father Christmas, if you're reading, please take note. Oh and if it doesn't sound too cheeky we'd love one of those Navidad Christmas Candle's too please!
PS. Bond Night will be celebrated by Ormonde Jayne exclusively at their boutique in The Royal Arcade, Old Bond Street tomorrow night (Thursday 18th). Drop by from 5pm to see falling snow along London's Old Bond Street, rickshaw sleighs, Father Christmas, carol singers, musicians, bell ringers, roasted chestnuts and entertainers in period costume, all organised by the Bond Street Association. We'll see you there!
