
A couple of weeks ago now, we reported that come January 2011, Jimmy Choo will be launching a fragrance which will showcase as the ultimate accessory alongside their fabulous shoes. So, on Friday lunchtime we dashed down to Mayfair for a speedy low-down on the scent with Tamara Mellon, the founder and chief creative officer of the brand.
Tamara explained that she has always loved wearing perfume and that creating a fragrance has aways been part of her vision for the brand. 'The Jimmy Choo fragrance evokes a sense of feminine confidence, seduction and sensuality,' she told us. Steering clear of the more traditional fruity floral, Tamara has gone for a woody and ultra-rich chypre scent, inspired by modern, strong and empowered women.
We reckon this uber glamorous, and super-sexy fragrance is one to pull out and work with your Roland Mouret power dress and a pair of Choos. Shrinking violets need not apply.
Jimmy Choo Eau de Parfum, from £39.00, will be available at Harrods, Selfridges and selected Jimmy Choo boutiques from 13th January 2011 and nationwide from 31st January 2011.
