Sam McKnight Dishes the Dirt on Gaga’s “Smelly” Steak!

15 October 2010

Unless you've been living on another planet, you'll all be au fait with that Franc Fernandez dress Lady Gaga wore to this year’s MTV VMA’s. So Grazia Daily is thrilled to hear celebrity hairstylist, and Pantene global ambassador, Sam McKnight has ‘fessed up about the meat feast that was a-top Gaga's head, as he was the man do did it!

Yes, Sam fastened the lavender grey wig onto Gagaloo before topping the look off with a juicy rump steak. So what was it like, Mr McKnight? "It was smelly and very difficult to place a steak on top of the wig...there were a few flies.” Well, we suppose that's one way to accessorize an outfit, eh? Even Cher didn't believe the hat was authentic when she presented the songstress with an award at the ceremony; "I think she thought it was plastic," Sam adds. Perhaps it was the stench that gave it away...

While we're on the subject, don't forget to check out Gaga's own explanation about the dress by clicking here. Oh, and of course Bruce Willis' interpretation of the meaty hat is right here. We have a feeling this could be referenced for quite a while. Good ol' Gaga. [Stylelist]
