EEK! Team Beauty Prepares For Fashion Month!

An unwritten industry rule states that the weekend pre the start of fashion month (the shows start THIS week, y'all!) is always dedicated to serious amounts of R&R.  Suitable activites include catching up on as much fresh air/vitamin D as possible, sleeping for 8 hours a night, indulging in multiple home-cooked meals and seeing non-fashion friends before the bedlam and the decline into exhaustion starts.

For one beauty team member this involved a trip down the A303 to Somerset for serious quantities all of the above.  While Saturday can be deemed flying success (8.45 hours sleep/fish pie/pasta at Jamie's Italian in Bath/long walk with the Dog/3 home friends visited), the drumming of rain on the windows on Sunday morning spelt a day indoors.  Though mooching in PJ's all day would have been the easy option, pre fashion-month weekend cannot be wasted in such a manner, so we decided to take the opportunity for some beautification and experimentation with things-we've-been-meaning-to-do-for-ages-and-haven't. Meet our rainy day must-haves...

YSL Top Secrets Natural Action Exfoliator, £28  - London air clogs up our skin.  Fact. This genius little tube smells divine and gentle exfoliates away dirt and grime.

Laura Mercier Creme de Pistache Honey Bath, £30 - Who has time to bath in the week? Pour this gel into the tub for super soft skin that smells delicious. OMG, it's good.

Tweezerman Tweezers, £20 - When your mum hints that your eyebrows are looking "a tad unruly", the tweezermans have got to come out - we've been really busy, ok?  This cult brand arguably offers the best pluckers around.

Nails Inc Nail Varnish in Lowndes Square, £10 -  A mani never goes amiss and if the little sister hadn't run back to school with it in her bag this morning, we'd be abe to show you this wonder varnish. So for now, please take our word for it that this taupey grilac (grey/lilac) is going to be h-u-g-e this winter.

Enjoy!
