Hm, who is the fairest of them all? Dita Von Teese, Nicole Kidman, Karen Elson, er, Robert Pattinson...? Surrounded by an abundance of bronzed skin, we salute those fair-skinned starlets who refuse to conform to a J-Lo glow. But none could be more proud to be pale than Nicola Roberts. After chucking the fake tan, Nicola embraced her English Rose complexion and whole-heartedly championed the au naturel alabaster trend. So you can imagine our excitement at hearing she’s launching her new make-up range for girls with fair complexions this week. Huzzah!
‘The reason behind me doing this is because I had a point of difference and that was because of the pale skin and it was something I obviously felt really passionate about,’ the Girls Aloud-er explained. ‘I was aware that there weren't many make up brands that catered for women for extra pale skin so I feel proud that I've been the person to do it.' And so she should!
The range, called Dainty Doll (cute!), will make its debut in Harrods TODAY and Nicola will be making a special appearance. So if you get yourself down there like, now, not only will you get the chance to meet the lovely lady herself, you’ll also pick up a signed limited edition Dainty Doll postcard AND have a play with the brand new range. We can already hear the stampede of porcelain beauties...
Oh, and to add to the anticipation, and for a touch of inspiration, take a look at the awesome pale 'n' interesting looks our Nic’s been rocking recently with our gallery below. We're sure you'll agree, the girl definitely is having a moment.
To meet Nicola, go to Door 7 at Harrods, Knightsbridge at 12.30pm today.
