Hallelujah! This was the excited response when Grazia caught sight of Kristen Stewart this morning. The actress, who's currently doing the promo rounds for 'Eclipse', arrived at the David Letterman show yesterday showing off some new look locks - people of the world, rejoice! Because this is the girl who's famous for her surly ways and along with RPattz, has oft been criticized for her general grubbiness, so what a treat to see her (Twi)lightening up and going glossy grunge instead of goth. Forget make-over, this signals a total 'mood-over'. And after that tomboyish shaggy mullet for her role as Joan Jett, the transition away from severe punk rocker is a wise choice - especially with all the gypsy chic we spotted on the AW10 catwalks, from Rodarte to Clements Ribeiro.
And the gypsy goodness just kept on coming as new images swarm in of the starlet with her freshly dyed locks twisted into Heidi-esque plaits with soft, wipsy tendrils. At a New York event last night, Kristen described the new shade as "reddish brown", explaining it's for her latest role in On The Road.
Now, it's not often (if ever) that we see the actress going so girlie or looking this, well, styled so doesn’t it make a lovely change? We say yes. Those green, feline-like eyes of hers have popped to life thanks to the copper colour, while her skintone is transformed from pasty to warm and glowing. We’re booking our appointment with the hairdressers pronto! And just check out the view from behind:
Adorable, no? But what do you make of Kristen's transition from goth to gypsy? Has she lost her edge or is she only getting feistier? The box below awaits your verdict...
