The weekend's Best Tressed: the little black bob

Surprisingly enough, it's not often that Grazia Daily reserves a whole space of praise for Naomi Campbell’s lustrous locks but after seeing her LBB (little black bob) on the red carpet this weekend, we felt the time had come. Admittedly, we were a tad perplexed at first (the fact her mane magically grew five inches within the course of the evening certainly didn’t help) but after becoming quite accustomed to it, we can confidently announce: we love. It’s smooth, it’s stylish, it perfectly frames her glorious cheekboned beauty. Naomi’s hair, we salute you.

Also sporting the look in a carefree fashion was Selma Blair. The actress’ razor cut has long been admired by the Grazia lot, mainly because of its dramatic departure from the usual extension-clad Hollywood crowd. And looking at the snaps of her out and about yesterday, Selma’s pageboy bob is transforming into a much softer version. Her blunt fringe has grown to eyebrow-length proportions and the chin length looks so cute on that pretty little head of hers.

So there you have it, with a superduper model and an A-list actress championing the style this weekend, it looks like the sassy bob is here to stay. For your own take on the trend, look to a chic combo of Uma Thurman’s striking 'Pulp Fiction' ‘do with a dash of the Amelie flick to keep it cute-as-pie. But of course, the ultimate homage is reserved for the original ‘bobber’, Louise Brooks [above]. It was Brooks who made the iconic style The Done Thing back in the era of swinging jazz and flapper girls with her high-shine crop and severe bangs, and henceforth a constant trickle of copycats have emerged. So who’ll be the next celeb bringing it to fashland? Keep your eyes peeled folks!
