Chloe's DOUBLE Blow Dry!

10 March 2010

Just to continue yesterday’s very appreciative nod to Pantene and fabulous glossy, voluminous hair in general, we absolutely loved the locks backstage at Chloé yesterday and reckon that expensive, shiny hair is going to be just huge for A/W 2010.  Check out the luscious locks at Versace, Cavalli, Gucci and Ungaro to induce further bouts of hard-core hair envy… Hairstylist Guido Palau described the Chloé coif as “rich” and “envy-inducing hair” that is “gorgeous and bouncy.”

Yes please! Guido rubbed Redken Velvet Gelatine 07 into tresses, giving each model two generous rounds of blow drying for some serious bounce.  It's going to be aaall about the DBD [Double Blow Dry] for A/W (also seen backstage at Gucci for their Lauren Hutton-inspired dos). Double blow drying is simply a souped-up blow dry - complete one round of drying before applying further glossing or volumising product to tresses and completing with a final round of drying for some serious results!

Here in the Grazia Beauty department we’re serious volume-seekers: Associate Beauty Editor Lauren Murdoch-Smith can’t get enough of Kerastase Resistance Mousse Volumactive, £18. Contributing Editor Liz Hambleton swears by Velcro Rollers, £4 from Sally’s on Shaftsbury Avenue and Beauty Assistant Rose Beer loves Charles Worthington’s Front Row Turn Up the Volume Blow Dry Spray, £5.99.  Get involved!
