Direct from New York Fashion Week, Lesley Keane - the amazing Senior Artist for MAC - has been blogging backstage for Grazia Daily to give you the beauty scoop on all the goings-on behind-the-scenes. Find out what's been going on at Gwen Stefani's show...
I'm backstage at L.A.M.B where the mood is sombre after the great loss to the fashion industry. Despite this, it's all very exciting, especially as the designer herself, Gwen Stefani, is backstage and looks amazing in an awesome leather outfit and Marilyn-esque curls. She's brought along her beyond-cute son Zuma who everyone's coo-ing over. But it's time to get to work with the make-up!
The key make up artist is Charlotte Tilbury (seen above with Gwen). She explains that the inspiration behind the show's beauty look is Betty Page meets an early 90's Guess campaign - with a dash of 30's prostitute for good measure! It's very sexy vixen thanks to the dramatic smoky eye using M·A·C Smolder eye kohl pencil, Blacktrack Fluidline and M·A·C gloss texture. On the lips, we mixed burgundy lip pencil, Burgundy and Crimson Lipmix to create an overdrawn pout. Just gorgeous!
