Avon: Making a Mark

We just can’t imagine life without Avon and now its younger sister brand Mark is achieving unbelievable success Stateside, with the brand employing no less than 40,000 18-24 year olds, who not only hit the college dorms selling beauty products, but also use Facebook and iphone apps in one of the beauty industry’s first forays into Facebook e-commerce. With Lauren Conrad as the brand’s spokesperson and the Mark representatives getting 20-50% commission we reckon that being a Mark girl would have been a lot more glamorous than our university waitressing jobs and we’d have probably been a lot better at it too.
