Recently, Lady Gaga spoke out about her inventive side on US TV, saying: 'When I’m thinking about either designing a piece or choosing a piece to wear, I think about a shape. If you as a designer, your aesthetic were to walk through a wooden door, what shape would it leave? Just because we’re doing a heightened avant-garde sense of who we are doesn’t mean we start shredding things and making, you know, giant hats — it still has to be you.'
Right... Well, Gaga certainly pulled out all the creative stops last night in Vegas, where she was named creative (see what we’ve done here?) director for a specialty line of Polaroid products. We tried to think of words to describe her incredible hairdo in which Roxy from Chicago (the waved bob) meets Tyrolean Shepherdess Girl (the plaited bun), meets giant couture hat, but they failed us….
Extraordinary? Yes. A success? We’re not entirely sure, though there’s no denying that this 'do would leave a fabulous shape if Gaga were to walk though a wooden door… Thoughts below please.
