There’s no excuse, NYE officially means party time and with a party comes the valid reason to dress up, try a different trend and make an effort. So this year we’ve made things easier for you by identifying four fabulous party tribes.
Glossic
Inspired by Taylor Momsen’s dedication to everything rock chic, this look is not only glossy but nearing on gothic too. Fundamental to the look? The classic smokey eye but blown out in either slate grey, gunmetal or navy blue. Your essential tool? MAC 219 Pencil Brush to smudge out the edges and lash line.
Modern glamour
It’s Hollywood siren crossed with modern day movie star. Softened Veronica Lake curls and red lips. Admittedly not the easiest look to pull off - heated rollers are a must and working a red lip is also essential. Match with a wow dress and killer heels for party perfection.
The glow getter
Bronzed, dewy and dripping with health, it’s post Christmas skin at its best. Skin prep and foundation is the key to this look. Use a shade darker foundation or fake tan the night before to warm up the skin. Add a nudey glossy lip and peach blusher for glow glorious glow.
Colour queen
Think 80’s meets the tenies (that’s what we’re calling 2010 onwards) so less of the ruler straight line blusher and more of the coloured, rainbow eye or colour popping lip. Just make sure it’s one or the other! Colour overload is not the aim of the game.
