Yes, we know good grooming starts with a great set of brows. But it seems American Apparel company head Dov Charney has taken his obsession one step too far. Frustrated with the over plucked and un-groomed brows of his employees, he decided to send a memo around to illustrate what he sees as the perfect eyebrow shape for American Apparel employees. Using Brooke Shields as his ideal example, as well as a few what-not-to-do's for reference, Dov became the first company head to regulate brows at work! Blimey, we've heard of a dress code but a brow code?

While we're on the subject of good brows, Grazia's beauty director Annabel Jones bumped into a hot new brow guru the other day. Jenna Treat, a Canadian make-up artist, has developed her own free-styling technique. Rather than lying you down on a bed, Jenna insists you sit upright so she can see the features of your face from a distance to create the perfect symmetry, which by the way is the secret to looking slimmer and younger. A little pluck here, a teeny wax there, she finishes off by filling in ever-so-slightly with a natural eyebrow shadow. Her technique is random but brilliant. ' I put all of my clients through my brow rehab programme. Most people have over plucked at some point which leaves brows too sparse, so I encourage customers to space their appointments at least six weeks apart giving the hair time to grow back properly. Give me six months and anyone can have Brooke Shields brows,' Jenna promises. With thick spiky eyebrows being the new shape du jour (just check out Alexander Wang's S/S show) we'll defo be seeing Jenna on a regular basis. Brooke Shields eat your heart out!
