At the premiere of Sherlock Holmes in London last night, the stars of the film braved the cold to walk the red carpet, but it was Rachel McAdams who stole the show. Rachel, who plays Irene Adler, Sherlock's love interest in the film, looked stunning in her floor-length Andrew Gn gown, but it was her beauty style that got everyone talking. First up, the deep-red lips – forget pillar box red, it's all about the wine red colour-check. Secondly, the long distressed plait. It's all over the catwalks for S/S '10 so she's already ahead of the beauty game. And thirdly, the quiff. The most copied hairstyle of 2009. It could be considered a trend too far but we have to applaud her efforts – and you know how we love a new beauty ambassador...
