Make-up legend Tom Pecheux has worked with every photographer and ad campaign there is. Carmen Kass in Michael Kors’ Very Hollywood fragrance campaign? Tom. All those kids in very Nico-from-the-Velvet-Underground 60s make up in the current Gucci campaign? Tom. Christy Turlington with liquid liner and scarlet lips in the new YSL campaign? Tom.
And today it was announced, Tom has been signed up by cosmetics giants Estée Lauder as their creative makeup director to transform the range. His first collection will be launching in spring 2010 and is rumoured to be colourful, (something Lauder are keen to do more of) as he'll 'add a new energy, style, and fashion edge to Estée Lauder makeup. His intuitive sense of color and expertise in global beauty trends will help us redefine modern color in a bold new way,’ said global brand president Jane Hertzmark Hudis. Always one to push the make-up line (he was responsible for that YSL black glossy lip) he has always made it his mission to make women look and feel beautiful. A man after our own heart!
