We’re always particularly appreciative when celebrities and their hairdressers make the effort to offer up catwalk inspired beauty looks. This weekend was relatively fruitful in terms of “catwalk spots” and a number of celebrities were out and about sporting Spring/Summer 2010 inspired trends. We guess that with all of this stormy weather recently S/S looks can really help us look forward to sunnier times, no?

First up, we were of the opinion that the lovely Cheryl Cole looked delightfully doll-like on Saturday night’s X-Factor. Her makeup was relatively pared-down compared to normal (which we are now quite certain makes her look younger btw.) The highlight for us however, was none other than the bow that perched happily on the top of her crown.

Hair bows worn in this way featured at Marc by Marc Jacobs and Luella, while at Jeremy Scott bow shaped bones were pinned to the crown for a Fred Flintstone-style take on the trend. Well done Cheryl! So lovely, so Spring '10, so tongue in cheek, we’re just loving your work...

Across the pond at the American Music awards yesterday J-Lo was also celebrating things catwalk-inspired. Her hair was side-parted, swept back from her face and tightly twisted upwards, almost identically resembling the hair created by the fabulous Paul Hanlon at Missoni's SS10 show. We thought that this, combined with her metallic armour-like dress made her look wonderfully powerful and Boudicca-esque!

Keep them coming ladies!
