Forget sleek – hair goes fluffy!

Lady Gaga’s look at the ACE awards was, well, different,  but that’s to be expected from the Lady who likes to play with her beauty looks. Aside from the lace covering her face and lilac lip peeking out, it was her hair that got us talking. Big and fluffy (almost like blonde candy floss) it was all about the volume and texture. Micro crimped and backcombed, with the help of hair pieces we’re sure, it was almost out of the Baroque era and slightly reminded us of the hair at Prada A/W '09 – coarse and structured in style. Dannii also rocked a crimped, fluffy style on Sunday night’s X Factor results, with sectioned crimping making her usual straight bob, plumped and volumous and finished off with some hair jewellery for a softening effect. Dannii can do no wrong! We saw crimping being used backstage at the S/S '10 shows as a way to build up hair volume by cleverly crimping sections underneath to build up flat hair. If crimpers are a tool that you thought you’d never return to (try to forget Bananarama’s crimp-athons), think again as they’re the latest hair stylist’s must-have tool.
