Beauty News Flash: Cheryl lands L’Oréal campaign!

All hail Cheryl Cole! She is well and truly on the road to world domination with this morning’s announcement that she’s been signed as the new face of L’Oréal Paris. We guessed it was only a matter of time before we’d see Cheryl tossing her hair or pouting her lips for a top beauty brand, and who better than L’Oréal, whose legendary ‘because you’re worth it’ phrase was something Cheryl revealed she had always wanted to utter. Following Girls Aloud bandmate Nicola Roberts's step into the world of beauty, Cheryl's first role as L’Oréal Paris’s brand ambassador is to front the campaign for Elvive’s latest product, Full Restore 5, which promises to combat the top five hair concerns women have in one miracle product. Cheryl’s famous for her voluminous amount of flowing hair, so we’re sure that she’ll do the product justice. Is there anything our Cheryl can't do? And don’t forget that earlier in the year L'Oréal also announced Freida Pinto as a new L'Oréal girl. So will there be a Freida/Cheryl advertising combo?  Now there's a dream team if ever we saw one.

Elvive Full Restore available from September nationwide

  • Isn't most of Cheryl's hair extensions though?

  • I always thought most of her hair was extensions, but maybe not given the L'Oreal deal? Can anyone confirm or refute?! x

  • The majority of the people in the hair adverts are styled with extensions anyway, even Claudia Scheiffer (excuse spelling!) & Davina McCall have them in. I don't think the client really cares as long as it makes their product look good.

  • Good lord it's her AGAIN - I don't doubt she's attractive but I take it there are no other "celebs" or models that anyone thinks is capable of promoting their product just now - or maybe Loreal have offered to sort out the horrible tacky plum dye job of recent days - Cheryl overkill!!

  • Just as Kim lands New Look, Cheryl has to go and trump it- argh i am so sick of her!

  • But sure it defeats the object if you have half a horse on your head. Grazia really needs to stop with the cheryl worshipping now. its ridiculous.

  • I think it was only a matter of time until she got a deal and it's great that it is for L'Oreal. But it's not cheryl's fault that she's in the public eye a lot. She's in a really popular girl band and on a very popular tv show, and was in the papers a lot cos of her marriage. Give her a break

  • Familarity breeds contempt. I don't mind Cheryl and kudos for her getting to where she is. But typically with the British press she is way too over-exposed these days. She's on everything. A bit like Mylene Klass to be honest. You can have too much of a good thing!

  • Good for her! But hopefully she will have the sense to ditch the extensions and go au naturel now? Will the ral Cheryl Cole please stand up...

  • I Love Cheryl, I always have and I always will!

  • Oh no! I will have to close my eyes when flicking thru a mag with a L'OREAL add in it. C'mon they had Jen Aniston, now Cheryl. There is such a big difference in celebrity here it's not even funny. One is an A list actress, the other is in a tacky girlband!
