HOW TO get Agy's hair-raising do!

04 June 2009

Oh we do love Agyness Deyn. Why? Because instead of trying to keep control of her Marilyn Monroe-esque hairdo at the Royal Academy of Arts, she let the weather (in this case a strong summer breeze) transform it into a cool Cruella De Vil style coiff. Which just happened to work perfectly at Soho House with BFF Henry Holland, where she totally let her hair down (or should we say up). It seems Miss Deyn is challenging Lady GaGa on the hair experiment front, and we're loving the two alternative hair styles in one night – well, it's not like you could be seen at another party with the same hairdo now, could you!

But we've just spoken to the man behind Agy's AMAZING hairdo, Adam Reed, ambassador for Shu Uemura Art of Hair, who said he received a text from Agy saying she wanted a 'punk Marilyn'-style hair do! So Adam went all old-school and set her hair with heated rollers (Remington's velvet covered ones are the best apparently, as they keep hair smooth) and used Shu Uemura's Liquid Fabric to get the root lift and curl seperation and to get the right texture for 'three-day-old hair'. 'You can do this so easily at home in 25 minutes – just use the rollers and then pin the curls to set them, then and take them out just before you go out. Remember to finish with some hairspray like Shu Uemura's Sheer Lacquer'. Simple!
