HOW TO use clip-in hair extensions...

What with Katie Holmes and Eva Longoria pulling luscious long-locked looks out of the bag in a trice recently, there's no doubt that extensions are the hot hair topic of the moment... And just because we fancy adding some instant glam-factor to our own hair, we decided to check out the easiest, and quickest, way to re-create the look ourselves - with the help of one of our favourite stylists, George Norwood from the Daniel Hersheson salon. Check out this week's Grazia for the full story behind the latest trend in extensions, then watch our HOW TO video to get the look. We've been whipping our clip-ins in and out Katie Holmes-style all week...

Step 1: Match your clip-in to the colour of your own hair. Visit to the Daniel Hersheson blow-dry bar in Westfield and they'll find your perfect colour-match clip-in for you. Or order them mail order (020 8743 0868).

Step 2: Line up one clip-in with an under section of your hair at one side and cut it so it fits from just inside the hairline beside the face to just before the curve in your head at the back.

Step 3: Backcomb the roots section of the hair where you want to fit the clip-in.

Step 4: Apply one or two clip-ins at each side and one or two at the back section of your head to get the full-on look.

Step 5: Smooth out any lumps, brush the hair out gently and leave your clip-ins straight or tonged in beachy waves. Who needs a £40,000 Katie Holmes makeover when you've got clip-ins..?!

Daniel Hersheson clip-ins, £22 for pack of six; Westfield blow-dry bar. They will also be available from http://www.danielhersheson.com/ from 1st April.
