Beauty notes: 1980s' Power Glam at Gucci

If there's one thing the Gucci show can always be relied upon for, it's to give us a hefty dose of full-on glamour. Yesterday's Milan show didn't disappoint. Models strutted down the catwalk sporting one of the most high-octane make-up looks we've seen all season – inspired by the '80s. One of our favourite make-up gurus, Pat McGrath, told us she went for a Power Look with a series of dazzlingly colourful eyes by blending red and gold shadow on the lids and a violet tone along the lash line that was smudged upwards and outwards from the outer corner of the eye. While cheeks were shimmering pink and lips full-on, vampish red, hair stylist Luigi Mureno stuck to a slicked-back look that he called 'languid and graphic'. After all the pared-back make-up looks we've seen so far this Milan Fashion Week, it seems that high glamour still reigns at Gucci. And we couldn't be happier...
