Lily Allen’s matchy-matchy make-up

17 February 2009

We've heard about matching your shoes to your bag, and even matching your nail colours to lips. But this is a new one on us. Lily Allen has been matching her make-up with her dress! According to Chanel make-up artist Maxine Leonard, Lily's glowing blusher was deliberately created to set off the burnt orange colour of her '70s-style dress. So how'd she get the look? First, Maxine prepped Lil's skin with Chanel Eclat Originel and Poudre Universelle Compacte in beige. Then she made Lily's eyes pop by applying individual lashes and lined the eye with Le Crayon Kohl Intense Noir. Finally, Joues Contraste blusher in Fandango was perfectly complemented by the subtle coppery peach lip colour, Aqualumiere in Malta. And the finishing touch? Nails in Chanel black satin. No, not matchy-matchy. But just enough to give Lily's new beauty look the edge. We're loving it...
